Planning Board Member Jaime DeSousa is running for Selectman to bring a refreshing choice to Town government. He will look at things fairly and openly. DeSousa will bring no strings attached with him running for the position. The ability to communicate with others and experience working to bring groups together and facilitate conversations will bring common sense participation to the Board of Selectman.

DeSousa went directly into the workforce after high school, working his way up through the ranks from carpenter apprentice to Account Executive – all while attending night and weekend classes at Bristol Community College and Wentworth to further his project management and business skills. Currently he holds the position of Account Executive with a construction management firm based in Easton. In his role as an Executive, the core responsibility is business development, client relations and overseeing the conceptual planning, design and budgeting of projects valued at millions of dollars. DeSousa is responsible for establishing project strategy, objectives, budget, schedule, and the weekly attendance of project meetings. Today DeSousa works closely with the two owners of the company focusing on the daily operations. He oversees a staff of project managers and superintendents, and is essential in his business development role which brings in new clients, contributing to the overall growth of the company.
